List the best guys at light heavy from the 50s and 60s

  • #2
    Dont everyone post at once......

I chose this era because i think it was a relatively weak era from the 50s-60s... compared to say the late 70s early 80s..

From the beginning of 50 through the 60s I think these were the best men.

        Maxim
        Moore
        Johnson
        Pastrano
        Tiger
        Torres
        Foster

all of them came to win and were competitive boxers. It was not weak!!

Yeah I agree, that's the clear number 1 guy, even though he split time between light heavy and heavy.. Harold johnson is 2nd or then foster/tiger

Good list to start.. And I don't want people to think that I was trying to rip that era... I just think it was relatively weak compared to the depth of some other eras, but still had top guys as champ.. I just think the depth is a little shallow as their seemed to be really good top 1 or 2 guys, but never jammed back with long list of contenders, much like today or the Roy jones era...

I think we can all agree that Moore was the clear #1, but what do you think about the other guys... Do you prefer foster or tiger or Harold?

It's got all the names I'd list but the order isn't right, it's clearly:

            Moore
            Maxim
            Foster
            Torres
            Tiger
            Johnson
            Pastrano

              Pastrano
I would have johnson higher IMO... What do you like about maxim and Torres that you prefer them over tiger and johnson

Hardly a weak era! Then you have guys like Pastrano and Satterfield, always dangerous. A young Floyd Patterson was around too and he knocked the stuffing out of Moore (at heavyweight though)

I didn't write the names in any order, their all capable of winning.

How can you possibly have **** Tiger above Harold Johnson at LHW?

How can you have Torres or Maxim above him either?
