Ever the man for a decent quote he fired off a couple after the fight that are always worth repeating:

In response to claims that he hadn't done all he could to rise from the third knockdown - ". . .when I get executed, people are going to have to pay more than $25 a seat to watch it."

And on fear itself - "I define fear as standing across the ring from Joe Louis and knowing he wants to go home early."

Baer was a wisecracker till the day he died. When having the heart attack that killed him, a hotel worker asked him if he'd like to see the 'House Doctor', Baer replied that he'd much rather see a 'People Doctor'.

Its hard not to have a soft spot for Madcap Maxie or the Magnificent Screwball as he was sometimes known.

I nearly forgot to mention the bout between Miguel "Happy" Lora and Gaby Canizales. Round 2. Real good round.

I'm too lazy to check, but if there were any same-round mutual KDs, Foreman/Lyle is easily within the top 3 (if not #1).

Couldn't post the youtube link, cuz the Forum won't let me post a link until I've made 15 posts. No big deal. But if you guys get a chance, check out the Ezra Sellers-Carl Thompson fight. The first two rounds should fill your quota regarding back and forth knockdowns.
