Fighters who are slick yet rough

Wilfredo Benitez.... Slick, a mover but could punch when necessary....Forgeting the Sugar Ray leonard fight where he was partying all night before!
Michael Moore....Another guy who had real boxing skills but, at middleweight could punch with the best of them.
And the consumate JT (James Toney)...
I think guys like Roy Jones. Archie Moore and other great fighters may form a sort of supra-category where at a certain point all attributes are covered.Comment

Joe Gans was the original slick and rough as u like fighter.. Probably why they called him 'the old master'Comment

hahaha for sure.
Has anyone mentioned Leonard? Guy was one of the most skilled fighters ever yet went to war when he needed to, Duran 1, Hearns 1, parts of the Benitez fight and Lalonde too. What a fighter.Comment

Toney especially later in his career when he fought guys like Ruiz and jirov.
Manny pacquiao to some extent because his subtle movements can be hard to catch up to. The hector Velasquez fight showed us this.
Miguel cotto had it all. A solid jab. Heart. Chin. Movement. Ring generalship. I miss that prime cotto.
All I can remember right now. Floyd may weather did it twice. Once against Hatton and also Jesus Chavez. Only as an adaptive tactic not a normalityComment

Some great mentions here...
Ward really sound like the epitome of it even if he isnt a hard puncher.
James toney its also awesome, his first fight with mccalum its pure greatness.
Sweet pea of course, his fight with Diosbelys hurtado really shows it.
I am surprised no one mentioned Mike Tyson at his prime his head movement was just superb, and i am sure everybody will agree that iron mike its RoughComment
