Any of the competitive 15 rounders with Sugarman going the distance. I've learned more watching Robinson fight than any other man. His Methods & Techniques are displayed right in front of you and the chess game is brought down to a checkers simplicity.
Joe Louis is another fighter that offers great lessons to a person willing to look closely at the action. You couldn't ask for better teachers! Ray.Comment

Both fighters that you mentioned fought out of Detroit, great place to learn the art. The traits of those fighters are still in Detroit boxing. Learning to work the jab and the ring as they do in Motown.
As for which fight: Chavez/Taylor 1 or Castillo/Corrales......... Rockin'Comment

My trainer as an amateur had me watch countless hours of Robinson footage. I've forgotten the title but there was a Ray Robinson video showing tons of fight footage. Actually, it was called 'Pound for Pound'. Great stuff!

Two good boxers, but in this meeting over 15 rounds, absolutely nothing happened. Both were true candidates of that year's Nobel Peace Prize.
A wonder the ref didn't DQ 'em both. Watching a repeat of that fight, and I wouldn't miss boxing at all.Comment

Carlos DeLeon drawing with Johnny Nelson for the WBC cruiser title in 1990.
