I am in the extreme minority when I say the fight in my avi, Ali vs Big Cat.
IMO pure poetry in motion, we will never ever see an exhibition of unorthodox beauty like that again.
And from a heavyweight none the less.
There has been many unbelievable slug-fests but there never will be anything like that again, It was almost like watching a Karate movie.
EDIT: Did I say "anything like that again" enough times? LOL
I could watch that fight over and over. There isn't a heavyweight who ever lived who I would pick against that version of Ali. And of course I'm aware that Williams was an over the hill opponent whose style was made to order for Ali.

You are exactly right, Big Cat was past it and made to order. (that is why I called it an exhibition instead of a fight)
But he was still a murderous puncher who came to win, one false move by Ali and it was lights out.
Leonard - Duran 1, no exceptions, for me that fight is perfection.
Edit: On second thought Toney - McCallum 1 and Barrera -Morales 1 are probably up there too.
Edit 2: Maybe Saldivar - Winstone 2 is up there as well, ****, this is the impossible question.
I basically agree with this entire post.
Though one I would add would be Toney/Jirov.
Leonard/Duran
Barrera/Morales
Toney/Jirov and Toney/McCallum
Floyd vs Canelo or Oscar because they sold the most and because Floyd says he's the greatest.
Balboa had some great fights too.
Seriously tho Gatti Ward.
I've never seen Manny Morales 1 so i'm gonna make sure i watch that one next.
