Watson was pretty good seems to get overrated these days though IMO.

i think if anything watson gets under rated these days. he was a very fine boxer

Without being uncharitable to Alan M - who I very briefly met - I think he's a top 20 fighter rather than top 10. Maybe around the 17/18 mark?

The two wins over Antuofermo are good results (especially the stateside win) but Alan was not a two-time or long-reigning world champion like some of the guys above him. A good fighter nonetheless and there's no shame losing your belt to Marvellous Marvin.

He also had some good wins over Kevin Finnegan and you could argue that these world-class fight in there own right as well.
