Agreed. LL was undisputed HW champ for a bit. That tops everything any of the others did. LL is an ATG top 10 HW, probably. He was the best of British - despite being from Canada.
Every Hamed opponent I listed was a belt holder. If I thought Direll-Froch was especially close I would consider it a legitimate win but it wasn't close enough for me to say that.
The best win out of both Froch and Hamed's records is Hamed's. The manner that Hamed beat the version of Vasquez he beat was more impressive than Froch's best win which was probably the Kessler win, which was a very narrow victory. I don't know if it is just because Froch's opponents are more recent but his standard of opponents really isn't higher than Hamed's. Is Bute really better than Bungu for example? They had similar periods as belt holders, Bungu 6 years and Bute 5, both got smashed to pieces when they fought Hamed and Froch respectively.
I couldn't disagree more. Vasquez was not in his prime. And Froch's win over Bute outshines that win - and Kelley is probably Naz's best win imo. I think it's pretty clear that Froch's resume is better than Naz's, but I'll get a poll going on NSB - I'm interested to hear what other people would be saying about this.
Care to elaborate? Dissect his record for example.
I'm guessing people think his record is weaker than Lennox Lewis', i'm not so sure about that myself plus Hamed really smashed the hell out of a lot of guys. Nas also only had one defeat against a guy who was one of the best p4p at the time whilst Lewis lost two fights, the latter in particular against someone not especially impressive.
I don't really think it's worth debating anything with you as you never change your opinions. But it is what it is ... lewis - undisputed heavyweight champion of the world ... avenged both losses in completely dominant manner ... wins over numerous top, top guys, Olympic gold medalist etc etc. Naz ... spectacular against lesser opponents ... very entertaining ... lost decisively against the best guy he fought and then quit.
It's not even close and I feel kinda silly for even comparing the two with a straight face but whatever ...
He gets a lot of bad posts on here, but would have given any versions of Jones and Hopkins, a good run for their money.. Young Joe was virtually unhitable
I thought Calzaghe was Welsh, not British. Or can you be British and be from somewhere other than England?

Great Britain aka The UK, or The British Isles,, includes Wales!
Now I expect we'll have some knob, who thinks he's Italian lol
With geography, not really. Probably my worst subject in school. But I guess I am brighter now thanks, got it. So he's British because it's all part of the UK. I like their TV shows there, by the way, much more clever writing and much fewer commercials and episodes. As much as I like Elementary, Sherlock is far superior.
