    Danny Lopez vs Marcos Villasana

15 rounds at featherweight. Who would you pick in this potential classic?

One of the hardest punchers ever at 126 lbs, Danny Lopez, or the iron-chinned and tough as nails Marcos Villasana?

Why was Lopez called Little Red? Was he part Native American? If so, what tribe?

Yes he was. If I recall correctly, I think it was the Ute tribe. Can't be arsed to look it up.

Lopez is half Ute Indian and half Mexican, but he was raised on an Indian Reservation in Utah. His older brother Ernie (who was a solid welterweight contender) was known as Indian Red Lopez. When his look alike little brother started fighting in Los Angeles (where Ernie was based), he was immediately tagged as "Little Red".
