I thought this would be a fun discussion,,, rank 1-10 the best heavys of the 80s
there should be alot of good debate with this because after holmes, spinks, tyson, all the other contenders all had plus and minuses to them..
here is mine, but i might change it
1. tyson--- best heavy and biggest impact,, holmes a better fighter and longer career but tyson from 85-89 ruled the boxing world
2. holmes-- great champ
3. spinks- was part of the biggest heavy fights of the decade, lineal champ
4.Witherspoon- this is where it gets interesting,, i go with tim due to overall skills
5. pinklon- great skills but was kinda up and down,,
6. tony tucker
7. tony tubbs
8. bonecrusher
9. holyfield
10. berbick
honestly the top 3 can be debated about the ranking of either holmes or tyson,, after spinks, its basically a free for all,,,,, Holyfield could be higher but he only spent 88-89 in the heavy division so he didnt have time to have a great run their even though he had solid wins over pink and dokes
