then he fought holmes and lost.

    he was never "the guy."
Also, when Spinks chose to give Ali a rematch instead of facing Norton, the WBC stripped Spinks and gave the belt to Norton, who lost it immediately to Holmes.

I don't really count his reign considering he was handed the title. He would've murdered Leon though.

cant see tua beating the klits tho. good punchers chance against wlad obviously but nothing more. he always had big problems with long jabs and would be too slow to cut the distance imo. I could see him bombing a younger wlad out tho

True about him vs klits,, I was just thinking if klits retired, and a prime tua was around he would beat povetkin, haye, stiverne, etc

absolutely. hed have mowed through those guys imo. tua was no joke when his weight was around the 220 mark. he was way too slow and sluggish when his weight jumped up. pissed me off when he came in in the 240's for lewis. he gave himself no shot in that fight

I'd go with Shavers too as well. What about George Chuvalo with that cast iron chin of his? He'd have a shot, especially with the Klits not being around no?

I don't think Chuvalo would have mounted much of a challenge in this era. Tough guy for sure, but too small.

I've only seen Tony Tucker against Buster Douglas so I don't know about his consistency (I know he supposedly gave Mike Tyson a decent fight with a broken hand),.but he looked like he could be trouble for some HWs.
