Though a bigger name historically, Duran was way past his prime, though he went on to notch another impressive (Barkley) win/belt.
You make a very good point,,,, the cuevas ko was super brutal, and he did the judah dance decades before judah,,,

I just always was in awe of the duran ko, because nobody before or after had ever ko'd duran like that, and duran fought everyone from 68-2000,, and the year before duran held his own vs hagler, and after held his own vs barkley, vinny paz, etc Not even a prime joppy in 98 could stop duran cold,,, But your rightm the cuevas ko was visually stunning

thing about the cuevas fight is that cuevas actualy got up around 6 and when his guy grabbed him he had a bit of a resistant reaction. shocking to see a guy severed from his senses like that beatin a ten count tho he clearly was in no condition to keep fightin. not like duran who was comatose n stiff as a board. not the first but one of the first few fights i saw hearns in was the eddie gazo fight on cbs. made gazo look like nothin tho gazo was a ranked fighter.
