That has been found to be false. Didn't happen according to all the evidence of the fight, round and times. It was, by all accounts, quite a hard fought fight.

There's just been too many though. People will go the defensive route, but there have been so many brilliant rounds of offensive genius, or both combined perfectly. Rounds that were brilliantly fought by both guys to create an amazing exhibition of boxing brilliance.

Pernell Whitaker vs Santos Cardona 10th round 9& 11th rounds were close but in the 10th he did it all

Pernell Whitaker VS JCC Round 7 or 8

Antonio Esparragoza VS Steve Cruz almost any round 3-15 were so so smooth

There are so many in history which makes it a tough pick. I remember a round from Roy Jones jr and Richard Hall that stands out as well as Salvador Sanchez 8th round destruction of Wilfredo Gomez or Muhammad Ali-Sonny Liston 1 round 7.

In terms of pure boxing, If I had to pick one, Mayweather-Gatti round 6 was the most one sided, brutal, blend of offense/defense for a fighter that I have actually seen.

Check out Hamed vs Badillo round 5. His antics caused the timekeeper to lose concentration and stop the round after only two minutes had elapsed.

One guy punching and another guy looking for a soft spot to land is not a great boxing exhibition.
