I just heard Tommy Morrison died two days ago reportedly of "acute respiratory and metabolic acidosis and multiple organ failure" according to his wife Trisha. Not an ATG by any stretch, but an entertaining fighter none the less at times. If his chin was as strong as his heart, he could've possibly been undisputed, but Lennox Lewis still would've been too good for him, I would imagine. Wherever he's placed in his era and historically, it's still kind of sad. Only 44 years old, way too young.

Sad news. When you see other sports stars managing their HIV well such as Magic Johnson it makes you wonder why Tommy wasn't more embracing of his treatment.
But he was a really exciting fighter, such a shame his career was cut short in 1996.

Gutted to hear the news but not surprised.
Boxing News here in the UK gave Tommy a decent and respectful send-off by putting him back on the front cover again and also doing a big three page review of his career. Plenty of respect from them and also from me.
