Muhammad Ali weighed under 200 for the first dozen or so fights of his career, so he's the greatest cruiserweight of all time.
So I win this here contest!
Pretty much the same for Joe Louis ... we can debate on who's the best "cruiserweight" in history now
No one has EVER cared who the best cruiser was or is.........
seems to be a big deal in Europe and the presence of the oversized Klitz bros.
not being challenged by any sized fighters. The weight class is ok by me because man has grown a few inches and has more gerth over the past 90 years so a fellow 5'11" and in shape weighs 190 and simply doesn't carry a big punch or have the skills to match or out wit a bigger opponent has a division to box in. I prefer the cut off weight to be 191 not 201 sixteen pound from LtHvy is enough!
Far to many weight classes far to many so-called champs and FAR to MANY regional, national, and district titles, hell everyone has a belt!!!!! hahaha!!!!
Its a joke that prelim talents box 12 rounders for some BS title, damn joke!
Nothing like watering down the sport to maintain credibilty!!!! Ray
........return to the "morning of the fight" weighins! To be legit!
totally concur with going back to am sameday weighins. what we have now is really fighters who are apprx 2 weight classes above what they weighed in at and it cant b good for their kidneys to dry up like they do to make weight. u know?
Why did they even change that? Just to give fighters more time to re-hydrate? That shouldn't even take that long. You weigh in, then drink some water, have a small meal and get warmed up. Too many fighters misuse the day before weigh ins to their advantage. Or at least make a new rule where they limit the amount of weight gained after a weigh in to, say, 10 pounds. It's unhealthy to regain that much weight in that short a period of time anyway. The more successful way is for fighters to stay about the same weight all the time.
