    Mayweather-De La Hoya Revisited

Has anyone else carefully re-watched and scored 2007's superfight between Floyd Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoya? I did and felt it was much close than what most people parrot.

My final tally was 115-114, Mayweather. (If you're wondering, I scored round 3 even -- after watching it probably half a dozen times.)

Anyone else have or remember their own scorecard? Just curious. I think it's funny that to listen to some of Floyd's most mindless adulators -- you'd think it was a shining, one-sided schooling by 'Money May'.

Oscar won 3 or 4 rds, clear Floyd victory
rewatch/rescore for fun if you choose to do so
but there's no confusion to be cleared up, SD was bullshit
another fight where the expected loser simply did better than he shoulda

Here was my round by round scoring:

        1) 10-9, Mayweather
        2) 10-9, DLH
        3) 10-10, Even
        4) 10-9, DLH
        5) 10-9, Mayweather
        6) 10-9, DLH
        7) 10-9, DLH
        8) 10-9, DLH
        9) 10-9, Mayweather
        10) 10-9, Mayweather
        11) 10-9, Mayweather
        12) 10-9, Mayweather

Final tally: 115-114, Mayweather (6 rounds Mayweather, 5 rounds De La Hoya, 1 even)

        In my opinion, the closest rounds were 3, 6, 8, & 9.

Final note: I was also surprised I didn't like the fight more. Wasn't at all a favorite of mine. Actually not that compelling or interesting for me. Not bad, but a bit too cautious throughout for my likes. Glad I processed it, though.

Honestly,, watching it live i gave it a draw,,,, oscar started fast, but then faded mid rounds,, but then i thought made a comeback of sorts and split the championship rounds with floyd..

after rewatching it a few times, floyd won but it was close,,, 115-113 or 116-112,,,,,

If they fought prime, i would pick oscar to beat floyd IMO

I didn't think the fight was that close, around 9-3 I think. But I also have no interest in ever watching it again.

Literally just done re-watching this one; scored it 116-112 for Mayweather.

                  Round 1: 10-9 Mayweather
Round 2: 10-9 De La Hoya
                  Round 3: 10-9 Mayweather
Round 4: 10-9 De La Hoya
                  Round 5: 10-9 Mayweather
Round 6: 10-9 De La Hoya
Round 7: 10-9 De La Hoya
                  Round 8: 10-9 Mayweather
                  Round 9: 10-9 Mayweather
                  Round 10: 10-9 Mayweather
                  Round 11: 10-9 Mayweather
                  Round 12: 10-9 Mayweather

I think the last time I watched it I had it 115-113 Mayweather, strange how you can interpret the same thing differently.

i agree how you can watch things multiple times and get different results,,,

to give may all the last 5 rounds is kinda bogus, if you ask me,,
no disrespect, i just think the latter rounds were very close,,, may def dominated the mid rounds, and oscar the early rounds,,,,

but i guess that is why they have 3 judges,,, to each his own my good friend
