Was Aaron Pryor the unluckiest fighter ever

Was Pryor avoided by most of the best until he got to fight Arguello? I know not by Leonard, but what about other top fighters in his weight class? I just saw a video that said Pryor couldn't get a good fight at lightweight so he moved up, is that true?Comment

later he was suppose to get a big fight vs mancini but then mancini lost to honeygan
Mancini lost to Livingston Bramble, not Honeyghan.
Donald Curry lost to Honeyghan. There was minor talk in '84-'85 of Pryor moving up to 147 to fight Curry.....who would have destroyed Pryor.
Pryor= very overrated over time. He's the guy people like to "buck the establishment" on by pretending he was this dark and obscure threat to the big shots of his time. The truth is guys like Leonard and Hearns had bigger fish to fry than him and the best thing that happened to Pryor's legacy was him not getting fights with them. They'd have crushed him and kept him from getting so mythical over time.Comment

Pryor unlucky?... Quite the contrary imo. I thought for a guy with zero defense who led with his chin, he got away with murder, and was also very fortunate to meet Arguello when he did, not to mention some of the other stuff he got away with.Comment
