Sounds like an old introduction to a Tyson fight. Definitely Jimmy Lennon Jr.

Michael Buffer isn't as epic to me anymore, as he pretty much announces EVERY big fight. (Now only big fights on HBO.)

What are some big fights Johnny Addie has announced. The name doesn't sound familiar to me. Maybe he was before my time? I like Lennon Sr., Buffer, from some of the older fights from the '70s and '80s I've seen, I also like Chuck Hull. Big baritone, kind of booming voice when he announces the fighter's last name, but simple and to the point. Don't know if I have a current favorite in boxing now, so I'd have to pick Michael Buffer by default, as I'm not too familiar with any other announcers in current boxing, except maybe Lennon Jr. but he sounds a bit nasally to me.

I like Bruce Buffer and Lennie Hardt for MMA announcers by far though. Even if you're not an MMA fan, you guys should check out a classic Hardt intro from Pride or DREAM. Take about a dramatic delivery.

Addie was best known for being the announcer for Madison Square Garden back when it really meant something. If you get ESPN Classic look for him in any big fight in MSG during the 50's or 60's.
