Vitali was only halfway through the fight and his eye looked terrible. Having the fight stopped was the best thing that could have realistically happened for him. He hasn't lost a fight since so obviously his career survived it.

Sal Sanchez death.
IMO he would have surpassed Chavez Sr as the best Mexican boxer.
Had all the tools to give Duran a run for his money as the best Latin boxer.

What If - Ike Ibeabuchi never went mad!? Would we have seen him take the Championship from Lewis? Maybe even squash the Klitschko era before it even began!? Or is he simply a fighter over rated because he left undefeated before he was truely tested?
What If - Roy Jones Jnr never made that jump to HW to face Ruiz? Would his LHW reign continued for years more? Tarver just another no chance contender?
What If - Tony Ayala Jnr never got ****** up?
What If - Chris Byrd fought at Light Heavy throughout his whole career, would he have had MORE or LESS success?

Some a$$hole coming along and saying "we need another major championship belt, because one is not enough. That way we further confuse and later alienate casual fans due to them being unsure as to who the true champion in a given weight class is."
