    Jerry Quarry

This is one of the better video's on Jerry Quarry that I have seen. Before he suffered from dementia he was very sharp and would have been an excellent commentator.

Quarry did a number of fights for CBS. I thought his commentary was excellent, but it might have been too blunt for that era.

Terrific fighter, one of the very best left hands you'll ever see! Determination with a huge heart and someone who came to compete and win!! If you don't appreciate and like Quarry you don't like boxing!!! Tremendous competitor!

While what you say is true, they are talking about his commentating not his fighting

Thank you for the vid joseph5620. It is sad to watch but it does pay tribute to a true warrior. I always thought it was wrong for Quarry to attempt a comeback in the eighties and even more wrong in the ninties.

I saw him sing the Star Spangled Banner (national anthem) before the fights at the Forum one night and he did a great job, despite being obviously nervous.
