Cooney KO-1 Norton. Thank God that last left hook didn't kill Ken. Tony Perez was one of the worst referees ever.

From everything I have seen and heard, Perez was terrible. He did something similar in the Mercer-Morrison fight. Morrison was pinned on the ropes and obviously out, but he allowed Mercer to tee off on his head. He is also infamously known for stopping the second round early in Ali-Frazier 2 when Ali had Frazier in a bit of trouble. He also allowed Chuck Wepner to rabbit punch continuously in the Ali fight without even a warning.

The Norton fight was probably his worst though. Arthur Mercante Jr is another terrible referee who has dangerously allowed fighters to take unnecessary punches. Ruddock-Dokes is one of example.

I'm surprised Norton left the ring without a stretcher.

It's chilling when it cuts to Norton slumped in the corner, who is out, although his eyes are still open. The way he acts is like time is moving in slow motion. Scary.
