First thing i did, but the reports seem out-dated to me.. Sometime in 2011 is all i could find.. I also checked Pazienza's website, and there's a brief mention about Martin Scorcese wanting to do it asap this year, but that's all it says...

Scorcese is as big a name as one can get. If it ever gets done, It will rival in quality the likes of "Raging Bull" also done by the same filmmaker.
