Are you asking how would Ali-Moore have turned out without Dundee training Ali, or are you asking how Ali would have done with Archie Moore as a trainer?

Ether way he would have done good, maybe not as good as he would have with Dundee but he still would have done good.

Ali left Moore/Moore fired Ali because Ali refused to take instruction and insisted on doing things his own way. Moore tried to teach him to set down on his punches more, in order not to have to fight as many rounds, to punch to the body more, in short, to fight like a professional fighter.
Dundee was selected precisely because he agreed not to try and teach Ali anything, and for his match-making abilities. Which is the same reason he was hired to 'train' Ray Leonard (Leonard was actually trained by the guys that started him as an amateur.)

Chuck Brodak was Ali's first trainer he was also a famous cutman in the Louisville area! Moore was brought in to help but Ali didn't want him, he was totally wrong for Ali!
Janks Morton trained Leonard and Dundee was an "advisor" and chief cornerman! Dundee by that time was a hired gun "advisor" for alot of fighters, he was a respected trainer and one of the best cutman also! He simply moved into another position that allowed him more time out of the gym than his past did!! One of the very best evaluators and motivators ever!!! Ray.

I met Chuck many times after he moved to California. Never knew he had an Ali association.

Ali ws initially very happy to have Archie Moore as his trainer. Ali remembered Archie's colourful PR enroute to his challenge for Marciano's title 'Sheriff Archie'.

Archie Moore's training camp also inspired Ali's own, with big rocks bearing names of other all time greats.

The problem is that Archie was quite a disciplinarian and wanted Ali to be sweeping the gym, helping out with chores and generally showing a more modest countenance. I think the main problem was a conflict of egos/personalities. Ali wanted to be the boss, not Archie!

I don't doubt that if Ali had paid full attention to Archie he'd have ended up a superb professional, but technically different. George Foreman was more suited to Archie.

Particularly young Cassius' propensity for leaning away from punches instead of slipping them. As if to prove he knew what he was doing, Clay gives Archie a boxing lesson of his own by making quick work of him and extending his streak of accurately predicting "they all must fall in the round I call." If that doesn't qualify as irony, I don't know what does...

Archie was 50 then? I think the 'fantasy fight', to prove the truth of what Moore was trying to teach him would be a 36 year old Moore against a 36 year old Ali.

Clay felt that moore wanted to change his style, Dundee on the other hand allowed for clay to fight the way clay wanted to fight.
