With all due respect, that's not what I'd call common sense.

Foster was knocking out heavyweights while weighing less than 185 pounds. Moorer didn't have anything like that.

I have Langford in my top 5 and Fitzsimmons and Walker would at least be top fifteen... but just because a guy can carry some power to heavyweight from LHW doesn't mean he was the harder puncher at LHW/P4P.

Foster was a freaking killer at 175 against better competition than Moorer faced... and Foster was still killing guys while weighing... what? 180? 185 tops? Moorer bulked up big time and could not KO the best heavyweight fighters he faced.

foster and moorer hit pretty similar at HW. Moorer bulked up more because weights were widely used by then, but that never has been much of a decider in power. With the strength you gain, the velocity you lose.

that being said, who at HW did foster ko that was of note? I know Moorer sparked Bert cooper.

Foster vs moorer at LHW is a good fight, I'd probably give foster the small edge due to his height, reach and ATG jab.

        michael spinks vs foster? hmmmmm

Duran, imo..p4p one of the best hitters. at LW he could one punch just about anyone with either hand. At WW he was a HARD puncher (ask SRL) and MW he was still a good puncher, he even busted up Iran Barkley, even Toney couldn't drop him or hurt him as bad.

I'm pretty surprised that nobody has mentioned Gerald McClellan or at least George Foreman-those two hit like animals!

Foster would have totally destroyed Moorer at 175. Moorer fought only C level competition, and he didn't have the chin to stand up to Foster. Mike Spinks might have been an entirely different story though.

Lulz Foster didn't knock out any HW's. Dont get caught up on those two fighters my point was just because you have a good punch in one division doesn't mean it will translate up in weight with Foster being an example. When guys do prove their power over a 20-50lb weight range like Fitz, Langford, Walker, Hearns, Duran, Pacquiao it proves they're harder P4P punchers and warrents higher ranking.

Turkey Thompson would be another guy 154-HW who proved his power.

Wow Hearns is getting a lot of respect over this. I remember watching him catch Leonard cleanly and Hagler cleanly and them both walking right thru it.

                    Foreman
                    V. Klitchko
                    Zarate
                    Marciano
                    Pryor

I think a list like that is reasonable, but many more could be added.
