    Excellent example.

Yeah I have that fight and kostya is fast as hell and his reflexes are really sharp.

Also rewatched barrera-hamed not long ago and there wasnt that much speed difference between them. Used to seeing morales and barrera in their later years and forgot how fast they were at 122/126

          Foreman vs Moorer
          Bowe vs Holyfield
          Chavez vs Taylor
          Turpin vs Robinson
          Schmelling vs Louis
          Ibeabuchi vs Byrd

          (Just a few there)

But in most cases, the slower guy tends to win through attrition, conditioning, pace, workrate or sheer power. Its fairly rare that the slower guy wins because of sheer 'skill'.....this did happen in the case of Schmelling vs Louis. But a better example would be in Duran vs Leonard 1. Now lets not pretend that Duran was slow, he certainly wasn't.....but Leonard definitely had the advantages in hand and footspeed. Not only did Duran outwork Leonard, he also outfought and outskilled him.
For a Foreman fight I would personally choose the Foreman/Briggs robbery over the Moorer fight. Moorer was dominating for most of that fight and was only koed because he got too ****y, to close, and was hit by a right hand he shouldn't have been in range for. On the other hand Foreman simply outclassed the much younger and faster Briggs for 12 rounds with timing and skill. Then of course got robbed.

Marquez obviously isn't slow but he is much slower than Pacman who's crazy fast so for some modern examples Marquez's handling of Manny is a good place to start

Fair point. I must admit I had Foreman winning the Briggs fight too.

I suppose most people Foreman fought post 1987 were faster than him.

the first duran camacho fight even though the 45 year old duran did not win he did not embarras himself as I thought he would. SRL actually thought duran won and fought hector later and got ko>d

                  True......

every example you gave here is true. Ray was out to prove a point to Duran in their first fight. According to Duran, Ray was just another pretty boy with hand speed and all mouth. So, Ray promised to fight Duran and beat him at his own game. He didn't win the fight BUT he won the respect of the people who doubted his toughness. We all know he could've boxed Duran's ears off like he did in the rematch. It's similar to Oscar and Shane. Going into the first fight, Oscar was pissed at the judges for robbing him in the Trinidad fight, so he promised to fight toe-to-toe. In the rematch, he won at least 8-9 rounds easy.

                      Moot point.

You bringing up that Ray was KO'ed by Hector is a moot point. First of all, Ray was old. PERIOD. Secondly, Hector held his head down and hit him with a devastating shot that he never recovered from. He most likely would have went all twelve because Ray was starting to land straight right hands down the pipe and Macho got worried. I was a Macho fan but your point here was pointless. He got that KARMA back the very next fight when Oscar promised to beat his curl off. He sure did too. LoL.
