That's just a clip of Tyson beating up Jose Ribalta. Tyson is an all time great because he went 9 rounds with Jose Ribalta ? (38 wins 17 losses)

There's nothing any fighter can do about the era they've fought in.

Some boxers had absolutely no control over the unfortunate fact that their era was filled with what many label as "mediocre" competition.

Therefore, I believe the very best we can do is take into account the following:

        1) How memorable and unique was their style?
        2) Have they ever intentionally "ducked" an opponent?
        3) How much of an impact did they have per fight against mediocre competition "in comparison" to other bouts where All-Time Greats have taken-on average fighters?

Mike Tyson may have fought with average boxers during his era, but when's the last time anyone's honestly seen an ATG as DYNAMIC against mediocre competition like Mike Tyson was during his prime?

Mike Tyson was fearless and brought the WOW factor that shocked the world per fight.

Before he fell into depression, he was just as spectacular as Michael Jordan. You knew that at any moment something amazing was going to happen.

Other than the youngest champion bit (impressive but nobody claims Benitez to be the GOAT and his win over Cervantes > Tyson's win over Berbick by orders of magnitude), what exactly is his claim to fame?
Either you believe he is or you don't. It doesn't really matter. He is who he is. Most boxing fans recognize him as an ATG and there's nothing you can say to change that.

That was just one example of how good he was and that wasn't even a prime Mike Tyson when it comes down to it. Only a hater could look at that and not be impressed. It doesn't prove he's great, but it does show you he was not your typical HW champion. And he was only about 20 years old there. Yes, he was an ATG.

I'm confused. Almost Everyone says that Tyson was past his prime after the Douglas fight. Now you're saying he wasn't in his prime against Ribalta. So when exactly was this guys prime?

Sorry if I seem like a hater.

Under correct tutelage, and if his personal life wasn't so invaded I believe Mike could of beaten pretty much ANY HW from any era. At least he has a real good shot, imagine even if we took the Ali from the Williams fight, imagine man.. Mike's skill would eventually get him some punches. If he can catch Ali, who ain't he gonna catch?

Of course in his prime, his latter fights he was barely even a shell of what he used to be.
