He wouldn't have troubled Roy at 160. Mike had slowed down a bit at 160 and he needed something to work off of, and Roy wouldn't have given it to him. Roy would hit him with hard flurries and step away and Mike wouldn't want to run into that stuff too much.

    Roy by boring, easy decision.
???? If anything his absolute apex was at 160 after getting out boxed by Kalambay and he changed his style to become more of a patient counter puncher.

Then he went on arguable the greatest title reign in the history of modern boxing when he beat Collins, Watson, Graham, Kalambay and had his 2 fights with Toney.

He was a better fighter at 154. Watch his fights from them intsead of boxrecin' them, monkey. He threw more combos, better ones, and moved off far better than he did at 160. If he was as good and strong at 160 as he was at 154 guys like Collins wouldn't have given him a tough fight.

Being a patient counter-puncher is EXACTLY why he wouldn't have given Roy much problems at 160. He would have had nothing to counter.

I have seen all his big fights have you? If you did there is no way you would think he "slowed down at 160" He threw more combos at 154 but he was also much easier to hit. Getting outboxed against Kalambay made him comeback as a much better and well rounded fighter

You are proving my point Collins gives everybody a tough fight. The fact that McCallum gave Collins by far his most one-sided loss of his career shows how great he was at the middleweight.

How come McCallum never unified the title at either light middle or middleweight or seemed to try to become lineal champion?

The Toney fight was for a unification.

McCallum didn't need to unify at 154...he was hands down the best there.

in alot of roy's fights he seemed to back off a bit in the second half he had a real safety first policy he seemed content with decisions ... I think if he'd wanted to he could have KO'd a good few more in his prime than he did

Okay, but then couldn't he have gotten the title belt from Ring magazine awarded to him? And did those belt holders not want to fight him?

I thought he had a vaguely intimidated look on his face.

Are you saying that Roy Jones had the intimidated look? It seemed to me that he knew he had easy pickings with the old champion.
