If you are talking about John Ruiz. He only landed 89 punches on Roy Jones. 37 were jabs.

      I dont need a link.

Ruiz landed consecutive right hands on Roy... we're talking abouta guy who knocked Holyfield down, and outweighed Roy by 30lbs.

If Roys chin was SERIOUSLY glass... he would of at the very least been buckled.

52 right hands based on the punch stats.

Let's just say that Jones' chin is good. Do you think he could of handle Tyson power punches?

          Of course not.

Roy's chin seemed fine before he started going up and down weight classes

After he went to HW. He started to slow down and he wasn't throwing the same amount of combinations.

But Tyson certainly lost rounds even in his most dominant phase, a few to Tucker, perhaps one or two to Thomas, one to Bonecrusher, the first to Tubbs, possibly one to Holmes too.

Seeing Roy Jones lose a round was very rare in comparison to his activity level between 1994 & the first Tarver fight nearly a decade later. Granted Del Valle knocked him down and Griffin stole the odd round....but not much else jumps to mind.

True, he isn't the only fighter in history whose chin deteriorated when losing too much weight. Ray Leonard, Rid**** Bowe and Ricky Hatton jump to mind.

Roy won over a few solid fighters when Tyson fought quality men like Evander he quit before he would be Ko'd. Tysons early record was against weak opponents the Bonecrushers of the world aren't exactly top notch boxers. Whats next Blood Green is a great fighter? Roy's talents are far above Tysons its not even close. Ray

I think the opening poster is only talking primes here Ray. Tyson wasn't a quitter in anything like his prime, he took his beating from Douglas like a man and showed plenty of bottle against Ruddock twice.

Though I'd agree that Roy Jones deserves this.......
