Tyson had a better chin, when he was in shape he was never hurt really. Holyfield had a good chin and ****ton of heart, he was hurt a few times but he was so tough and determined he'd stay in there.

This is my view as well, I've never seen Tyson so near out on his feet in his prime from one punch like i saw in the holyfield - bowe fight.

It was very rare to see Tyson get hurt. There were a couple times like how he shook off the flush uppercut from Tucker immediately or the right hand Bruno hit him with, and in the Ruddock fights he showed quite a granite chin, taking Ruddock's signature punch right on the chin a couple times and pointing at his chin asking for more. The Douglass fight though shows his durability the best. That was one of the hardest uppercuts I've ever seen landed, and it still took several more flush punches to his head to finally knock him down. And if it wasn't for the mouthpiece, Tyson would have gotten up in time(albeit on shaky legs) it's amazing.

I didn't vote as I think they're too close to call.

Prime Mike had a great chin, but part of it is the will to fight on. Holy has a great chin and great heart. Evander pips this.

Keep in mind Holyfield was a natural cruiser who moved up!

I always wondered why Mike thought regaining his mouthpiece was more important than beating the count. To be fair Tyson had the better chin while Holyfield seemed to have better resolve.

                  I agree with this.

Holyfield had the bigger heart, and probably the better recuperative power once he did get hurt. But I think Tyson could withstand a stronger punch than Holyfield. It took prolonged beatings from Douglas, Holyfield, and Lewis for Tyson to really be hurt and taken out. While Holyfield always survived and came back with a vengeance, he certainly got rocked earlier in fights and more often than Tyson did.

Oh he wasn't gonna survive that I don't think, and he didn't know where he was. But the fact that he STILL wasn't out cold and could have beaten the count after that uppercut and the other huge power punches to his unprotected head, is amazing to me and puts his durability up there with some of the greatest chins.

not the best quality but just look at those shots and how hard they were.

And lets not forget when even in his washed up state he took a tremendous amount of flush right cross and uppercuts from Lewis while standing, and finally went down more due to exhaustion and Lewis' push.

You know thats a very good point. Stamina was mostly the problem in the Douglas, Lewis, and Holyfield fights. Well, head-butts really hurt him in the Holyfield fights, as well.
