Does anybody remember when Golota fought Samson Pou'ha on USA? Samson was a huge puncher but did all his training on the way to the ring, and he was tired and Golota was winning every round. Then Pou'ha nailed him with a right, hurt Golota real bad and went after him. Golota was in trouble, but samson was throwing a ton of punches. Golota bit him on the shoulder, very obviously and very hard. It bought him time to recover his senses, but Pou'ha was gassed and Golota stopped him a round or two later.
At the time I thought it was a slick strategic move, but I guessed it turned out to be syptomatic of a mental fragility in Golota.

This turned out to be so true.

True, but a lack of heart and chin was, as he was easily stopped by Lewis and quit on his stool against Tyson.

Speaking of which, that was the best argument between trainer and fighter I've ever seen. Al Certo getting all pissed off at Golota for quitting against Tyson is classic yelling "don't do this" and to "get back out there ya f*(k ya". Certo would later say he was trying to put Golota's mouthpiece back in and said "I shoulda shoved it up his a$$."

^It didn't seem so bad at the time, but Golata got wrecked in that fight.

"Dr. Wesley Yapor, a neurosurgeon treating Golota, said the fighter sustained a concussion, a fractured left cheekbone and a herniated disc between the fourth and fifth cervical vertebrae."
