  • Randall Bailey's Place in History...

.....just as a pure puncher in the vein of guys like Shavers, Cyclone Hart, Satterfield, etc. The kind of guy who can do nothing besides turn anyone's lights out with a single shot.

Surely he has to rank with those guys?

P4P1 Flop to the canvas creator.

Man the first one was hilarious, I couldn't stop laughing.

The second was just brutal though.

I'd say he's in the same catergory as Bob Satterfield, yes.

He definitely has a better chin that Satterfield.

He is one of the hardest punchers in recent times.

Overall he simply lacks the KO's over notable opponents in order to be considered among the best punchers of all time. A win over Mike Jones, while impressive considering his age and natural weight, is ultimately not memorable enough to rank him with the best of them.

He does compare to a "Cyclone" Hart though, a hard hitter whose short-comings prevented him from capturing any wins over top opposition.

After last night, I'm on board with that.

As long as we don't start calling him a HOFer, like everyone seems to get called after winning a championship these days, I'm happy calling him one of this era's greatest punchers.

If they create a wing at the HOF strictly for KO artists and entertaining guys then I'm all for Bailey making it into that wing.
