Personally I don't consider either Fitzsimmons or McLarnin British. Both left as kids & neither one fought in the isles (to my knowledge). If you want to fine, it's all about opinions, but I can't. At least Lewis returned & considered himself British/Canadian/Jamaican and had plenty of fights in the UK. And he's a West Ham fan.
Wilde hands down for me. Lewis up there too (Ted). I always had a soft spot for Jackie Berg but he's probably in the lower reaches of the top ten.

I think if Muhammad had upped and left after his win against Jimmy Ellis, he may have gotten similar treatment. Obviously not as bad, but similar.
