Failure to grasp the English language at such a simple, basic level is honestly sad. Arguing that the term I could care less means I couldn't care less or that it comes from I could careless? I could careless makes so little sense that I don't even know where to begin with that. Come on man. Really? Think about that for just a moment.
What meaning do you get from I couldn't be hungrier? Do you see it as meaning that someone is completely full and couldn't possibly eat more? Or does that mean to you that they are starving and so hungry that they just couldn't possibly get any hungrier?
What about I couldn't be bothered? Would you say I could be bothered instead?
Instead of just assuming it's right because it's what you say, why don't you try to actually think about what each word means and how it relates to the whole phrase?

Another basic English reference. Could and couldn't don't mean the same thing Sully.
Maybe the dictionary isn't giving you a valid argument though.
