I like you guys suggestions, but some are not really within the concept of the thread. I was thinking about rivalries between nations. I found that fitting on the eve of Juanma-Salido II.

Boxings most notorious rivalry is just that. Between Mexico and Puerto Rico. There's been a lot of signifikant fights and some barnburners.

Notable fights that I like from this rivalry include:

    Chavez-Rosario
    Cotto-Margarito
    Trinidad-De Lahoya
    Gomez-Pintor

There's also the US-UK rivalry and maybe some asian rivalries as well.

          Right on my friend.

National rivalries for domestic and/or World supremacy would also make a cool thread. Such a thread should definetely include Eubank-benn-watson and barrerra-morales etc.

              Two of my favorites:

              Gatti vs. Ward

              Hector Camacho vs. Edwin Rosario
(one of the reasons I came to love boxing)

Luisito Espinoza vs. Alejandro Gonzalez(Sr.) was a good rivalry. Each scored a dramatic knock out of the other and went on to win a featherweight title.
There never was a rubbermatch but there was a national rivalry present to boot.

And I suspect few fight rivalries compare on any level to Louis-Schmeling.

Edit: I have the Espinoza-Gonzalez matches somewhere on dvd, I will put up a video if I can find them.
