I was ringside for the Toney fight. Easily one of the best fights I've seen live. I had it much closer watching it live than I did when I watched it on TV. I was rooting for Jirov's though so I may have been being subconsciously biased.

haha no problem you were supporting you're fighter so why not? what was you're reaction to the decision of the fight and what was the atmosphere like for you to be there ringside watching a big cruiserweight fight like this one?

I thought the decision was just. I had it very close up until the last two rounds where Toney took control. As far as the atmosphere, I've been to fights were there was more electricity in the air, but that was the best high profile fight I've seen live.

That would have been an excellent fight. People forget how sharp JCG was as a cruiser. But the problem is that fight couldn't make money anywhere, except possibly Germany. And whenever you have two title holders you can be sure that they expect to be well paid.

What a strange ending to the Moorer-Jirov fight.

                I HATE YOU!!!!

In my top 5 favorite all time fights.

I loved Jirov and loved Toney. What a fookin fight that was.

I don't agree with everyone having Gomez over Jirov, they never fought. Jirov's resume is better at CW to me. JC Gomaz looked great but he beat a gang of non descript guys (more so than jirov's)

one of the best fight's i've ever seen, such an epic battle.

i've never seen harold lederman be so off on scoring a fight, though, if memory serves me right.

I believe Fabrice Tiozzo was negociating for a Jirov showdown just before he lost his WBA strap to Hill in a rematch.

Who do you think would have won ? I think it would have been a great scrap.

I always liked Tiozzo, and though I don't recall watching him fight many times he was entertaining. I'd lean towards Jirov more out of bias than anything else. I just don't recall and haven't seen enough of Tiozzo to make an honest assessment of this fight.
