        Like I stated, I knew Carter pretty well and I followed his career since he first started, and he wasn't the same fighter as he once was.

                      Tom Bethea. He was 9-5-1 when he stopped middleweight champion Nino Benvenuti in a non title fight. Bethea lost the rematch for the title and finished his career with a 22-21 record.
