Will Donald Curry ever be inducted into the Hall of Fame?

It's a damn shame he hasn't been voted in yet. Every year like a broken record I ask why they have not yet put Curry in. Not that I don't think that Mark Johnson isn't worthy as a HoFer, but personally I would have picked Curry over Johnson. Sure he had a short prime, but he was one of the finest fighters to step in the ring and also the top fighter of the 80's after Leonard retired. His fall from grace shouldn't stop him from being inducted. Mike Tyson was like Curry and he's now a Hall of Famer.

I'm sure he'll get in eventually though, much like Hamed, Starling, Zapata and W Vazquez. Curry is probably my favorite textbook fighter alongside Ricardo Lopez.

Mark Johnson isn't a worthy HOF'er.

Donald Curry should certainly be in the HOF over Mark Johnson. No question about it.

I think Curry is a deserved HOF'er but I think there are still many who deserve to be in over him.

I don't think he will get in. The arguement for: he was as dominate of a champion for 3yrs as anyone through out history, he unified the welter title, he was a very accomplished amateur. The arguement against: he doesn't have the longevity (34 victories) or quality wins ( 1, vs McCrory) to belong in the hall. Good fighter but not a HOFer in my opinion. But I don't think Johnson, Tszyu, or McGuigen belong either and all three are in.

Curry would already be in already if he ever was going to be. Glad for Too Sharp. Hamed should be in ahead of him though.

only one quality victory? Thats definitely not being fair to Curry. He has two wins over Marlon Starling, Roger Stafford, Elio Diaz, LaRocca, Colin Jones, Carlos Santos, and Gianfranco Rosi, in addition to his win over McCrory.

People seem to forget just how dominant and impressive he was at welterweight, and unfortunately hes probably not goign to get into the HOF simply because of his upset loss to Honeyghan and Jacquet, despite all his other impressive wins.

he certainly beat better opposition than Mark Johnson, imo.

It really depends on what you consider a quality win. I think Colin Jones was a quality win, even if he doesn't make a blip on the all time radar. But Jones was a top rated welterweight for awhile. And Larocca was definitely a quality win.
