Judging from most of the posts I've read here, most people have only seen Liston v Clay, and I can't emphasise enough how much that does Liston's ability a diservice.

We have a winner.

Those fights not only aren't indicative of his ability... they also give the impression that he didn't have tremendous heart and courage, which he most definitely did.
