Sam was way too old after 1915... Harry Wills was an up and comer,....... gee, Fred Fulton beat Sam up bad too, making the old flabby ex-legend quit after 5 rounds,..... but look at his 300 plus fight record,,,, it's phenomenal....... This match-up is supposed to be BOTH AT THEIR PRIME as HW's.......... You need to look into Langford a bit more,,,,,,,, Tunney is bigger but this fight could have many different outcomes.

I do too. But I think Sam was just as great as Tunney,.... just a bit small, but he had incredible reach.... like the guy in the photo underneath,....... cosa nostra.

langfrd would swarm him with a body and head attak with power and speed like no othre fghter

it would be like mixing the strengths of dempsey and greb together

If Jack Dempsey couldn't knock Tunney out in the many rounds they fought I can't see Langford doing it. Just from what I've seen, he has great footwork so he'd get out of any trouble easily. And I also noticed he was good at countering. Tunney wins by moving a lot, darting in and out with quick combinations.
