    Beating pacquiao...

Since this is a "must make" fight as deemed by the public and media for Floyd does beating manny really even help his ATG standing that much?

I thought this thread will be better here with the knowledge of old timers who know more about historical rankings.

Floyd will win but I think that in the future many of today's *******s will no longer be part of the boxing world and many of the real fans who are still around will be on forums saying "It was the fight everybody wanted to see, but Manny wasn't that great of a fighter to begin with, and he was more well managed than anything."

in my oppinion manny needs it more

if manny were to never fight him or fight him and loose

there would always be speculation about steroid use or him being an over rated puncher whos was manged properly later in his career against bigger but washed up or weight drained u name the reason

do i see it that way?

not exactly cause it will all just be speculation with out eveidnce

but if floyd never fights him or he does and he loses

people will never be able to take away some of his previous accomplishments and his incredible skill level

and if he losses his advanced age could be used as a reason or ann excuse for the loss

hell if he loses and its more of him looking bad then manny looking good some will rank him higher than pacquiao

if they fight and it is very close and entertaing and they show great skills they are both boosted regardless of the winner (the winner will just be ranked higher ) a close fight could oopen up an opportunity for a rematch or even a trilogy depending on th outcome of the fight(s)

but untill it happenns and they carry out the rest of their carreers...
it is hard to rank them.

but u could say the winner could become a top 20 maybe?

      anyways...

      make it happen allready!

i think it could go either way

        there area lot of variables

ill stick by manny no matter what

and IMO his win over cotto was pretty solid( its not my oppinion that cotto was "shot')

and the stuff at 126 and 130 was impressive

but ur right he will not be top 20 or 30

        maybe like top 60?

not only that but a whole truck load of fans (mannys) would become disinterested in boxing and end up being replaced by a truckload of floyds fan who will have the same mentality.

            Lose-lose situation!!
