Fact is, Hopkins didn't even get a point deducted much less dq'd so it is an irrelevant issue. The fact is that Hopkins won the fight very clearly.
Its not CLEAR at all. I thought Hopkins deserved the nod but when u do as little as he did and clown around like he did then uve nobody to blame but urself when u lose..

But like i said i thought what little he did was better than all that windmilling from Joe Calzaghe

      Calzaghe clearly beat kessler.
Kessler is the definition of a on top fighter.

Its been a long time since I watched the fight but if I remember
      correctly Robin Reid whipped him.

Hopkins gave Calzaghe a closer and tougher fight than Kessler did.

He may have acted like a whiny, over-acting b!tch, but Joe had a very tough time landing on Bernard, despite what the meaningless system known as Compubox said.

I think Calzaghe did enough to get the nod. Difficult fight to score

Hopkins antics allowed him to stay in the fight. If the original ref Jay Nady was in charge then that would of been a much more fair refereed fight.
I cannot see how a guy who is only throwing 18 punches per round and landing 6 punches per round can win a fight by such a wide margin as you claim

Compubox for me is a bit of fun and another talking point. I question its accuracy especially after last nights McCloskey vs Prescott fight and even if u trust it then it cant tell the story of the fight, people put way too much stock into Compubox. Im glad we have it but its not a way of judging a fight IMO
worth noting tho that the judges dont see the Compubox digits...

BTW whatever happened to that new tech that was rumoured to be getting implemented like last year? A small chip inside the glove that a fighter wouldnt feel but it would measure how fast a punch traveled and the PSI of the shot? Again i think it would be good for a talking point and some fun banter but nothing more

I read about that. I thought it was for the amateurs, not the pros

The system I read about involved the fighter wearing a vest with sensors in it - so it couldnt be implemeneted in the pros. If it was it would make judging fights a lot more objective.
