I suppose these guys like Liston and Tyson were the most intimidating when they were undefeated cause they had that aura of invincibility. You don't know they can be beat until it happens! But once they suffer 1 or 2 losses they become significantly less intimidating.

Hearns is a scary looking guy anyway. In my opinion at least.

Maybe with Tyson, but Liston never truly lost his intimidation factor. Even after the Ali fights.

A lot of Tyson's persona was an act, but with Liston, that persona was coming straight from a childhood of torture and neglect.
