Roy hadn't even moved up to middleweight yet

      It was 1996, sorry.

I think Roy KO's him at this stage, it won't be too easy but, he'll win by TKO in the middle rounds I think.

In 96 Hearns was nothing more than a journeyman.

Hearns was still trying to negotiate a deal though that's what it says in the book at least.

Yeah all I am saying is that Hearns wouldn't be competitive at the world championship level never mind an ATG like Roy

Hearns that far down the road would have been like a limping gazelle in front of a starving lion. Roy would have eaten him alive. Prime 168 Roy vs. the best 168 Hearns...I'm not sure. I haven't seen as much of Hearns above middleweight, but it depends on how much of his speed he retains. What fight should I watch to get a good grip on how fast he was? If he's close to as quick as he was at welterweight, he could give Roy some serious trouble because his 1-2 is DEADLY. But if he's lost his zip, doesn't matter how much power he has, Roy would slice him up.

In 1996? Hearns would be lucky to see the second round.

Jones by one sided KO.. At that stage of Hearns career he was no match for Jones.

I believe Jones beats Hearns at 168 no matter what point in Hearns career. Hearns was not on Jones level by the time Hearns reached 168. He still had the skills but Jones was on another level that Jones Hearns never faced once he moved past 160.
