Id call it an 8.5! The man is as tough as nails and had/has a helluva chin but he HAS been rocked many times, dropped and even stopped (even if he wasnt his best when stopped) I Love El Terrible and dont wanna sell him short but a 10 is a Hagler to me, a guy who never even flinched at a hard shot and a 9 is still a slight bit too high as there have been guys who have took the heavy shots better than a Morales but not quite like a Hagler....

I will vote later,... But only to see if he rates 7 or higher...Theres no way he could ever be lower,...

CAN SOMEBODY Post some Morales fights on this thread ???.. I try to put video up on most fighters in my threads and others,.... I feel it helps to have easy access to them.... My first priority is resume,... but almost as important for me is to experience the action,....... then I can see those chins in action...
Morales is a fighter if u havent seen alot of - U SHOULD! Value for money dosnt cut it with him, great fighter, great heart and great entertainer!
Try and catch his war with Injin Chi if u can, belter of a fight and Morales really has to show all his toughness to survive it....
I really enjoyed his last fight with Maidana too which was a surprise given that i was sick with worry for him going in! And after round one when his eye was mangled already! Its a true shame he and Marquez never rumbled in their primes to round off the whole Barrera - Morales - Marquez and even Pacquaio saga... Hell id still pay to see him and JMM go at it!

lol at the hate
Floyd's touched the canvas less times in his career than any of the other fighters (except Hagler which is why he's #1) combined.
It's Marvin, Mayweather, Morales. Always has been.
Floyd having anything less than a iron chin is revisionist bull****.

you think la motta and all these dudes wouldnt love to have his defense?
CHIN is a combo of DEFENSE and DURABILITY. It basically means how hard you are to knock out...
thats why floyd has one of the best

First off, Im not saying it like its a bad thing. I agree most boxers would love to have that kind of D. But ranking a chin has NOTHING to do with defense, it's all about durability. And THAT is why Floyd doesn't belong on a list of great chins, he's never had to prove he was durable. Down the line when his reflexes go, if he's still fighting he may show he has a chin like Ali, or he may show he has a chin like Jones. But right now there is zero basis to say he has a great chin.
