Prince Naz was as unorthadox and awkward as they came

Darachinyan, Spinks and Carlos Maussa are a few others
no, i mean pernell "sweet pea" whitaker. one of the most awkward fighting styles the boxing game has ever seen! but yes i have heard that willie pep, another awkward fighter in his own right, originally accomplished the feat.

and even if they are disputed, it gives you a sense of just how awkward
    their styles were.

Ive seen most Sweet Pea fights and havent came across "that round" yet, havnt heard of it either but yes his defence was beyond incredible

I dont think Pep won a round without throwing either tho ive heard it argued plenty

Juan Roldan, Montell Griffin, Gianfranco Rossi.

Roy Jones was very unorthodox, but so blessed he turned his unorthodox ways into a nightmare for his foes.

some people take awkward to mean a guy that is "hard to get at", some people take it to mean a style that is just hard to work with in general.

I've always been fascinated with guys that didn't have much power but could win tough fights because they had a difficult style. I remember reading about an old philly fighter named Johnny Ja**** who was a light hitter but could hang with the best because he was in shape and just all over the place all the time. Canzoneri fought him a couple times and they asked him what gave him so much trouble, he was lost for words but said "There's just something about thatguy!"
You beat me to Fullmer and agree that Angott was. Young Griffo was awkward for opponents. Jeff Smith, Tony Canzoneri, Jack Kid Berg also.

Sam Soliman, very good choice, one of the weirdest styles I ever did see, pretty effective though.
