Leonard would win this. Pryor wasn't good enough to do what Duran did to Leonard in the first fight. Would have been very fun to watch though, both were very exciting fighters.

Pryor never won any fights worth mentioning at 147. Leonard moved up when he had cleaned out the division. If there was enough money there, Leonard would have beaten Pryor too.

I think it makes people feel good to talk about this "hidden gem" Pryor who the average sports fan knew nothing about, but all the superstars feared.

Truth is, Pryor was great. But, he wasn't great enough to go up to 147 and handle two unbelievable fighters like Leonard and Hearns. You think a guy who was sloppily getting dropped by guys like DuJuan Johnson and Akio Kameda is gonna not get hit and seriously hurt by two bigger guys who had talent/abilities in another univerese form those two ordinary 140lbers? Pryor's greatest win was over an older fighter moving up to his 4th weight class, in Arguello. Pryor needed 14rds, very tough ones, to get him out of there. How would he get two bigger, faster, and more powerful guys out of there? Can you imagine if that's Hearns' right hand landing instead of Arguello's? Not enough "mixed bottles" in the world could have kept Pryor from unconsousness if that was the case.

Hearns and Leonard weren't ducking Pryor in the early 80's. They were busy making millions between themselves and other 147+lbers.....I WAS THERE DURING IT, I know what the talk and the vibe was, and there was little clamoring for Pryor vs. either of them.

Again, Pryor was a great and unique fighter. But, he's been totally overrated by many over time.

Pryor is another one of those fighters that's had a cult following spring up over them based on perceived "might-have-beens" that in fact never were. The truth is Pryor never beat anyone that ought to make anyone think he could hang with the likes of Leonard and Hearns. What was Pryor's biggest win? A late round KO of a past-it Featherweight in Arguello that he probably would have lost without steady infusion of Panama Lewis' Kocaine KoolAid?
