    Combos vs Flurries

What do you consider to be the difference between the two?

They basically mean the same thing except flurries mean that it was spontaneous

Sometimes a boxer who is backed up and under pressure will be described as throwing a 'Flurry' of punches in desperation of get out of trouble, i guess in general terms that a 'Combo' is attributed to a boxer who is throwing punches whilst on the offensive?

I see a combination as a pre-thought out sequence of punches, like a one-two or a left hook to the body then head. A flurry is just a guy moving his hands as fast as he can trying to score. Difference between Ricardo Lopez and Meldrick Taylor, for example.

A combo is a series of punches that are strategically placed and used for getting around a certain kind of defense and opening up the opponent.
A flurry is typically unspecified in the fighters' mind and is just a number of consequtive quick punches that are thrown because its the easiest for the fighter throw.

-Combos usually have more power per individual punch and have a lot more variety, ie switching from the head to the body and the type of punch thrown.
-Flurries are typically quicker and are more repetitive, because its easier to just thrown say 6 left right combinations when each punch is the same.

combos have to do with having more skill.
flurries have to do with having more speed.
