Sometimes I Wonder Why Did Roy Ever Waste His Time Fighting Fighters Like.....

Benn was offered the fight in 1996. He turned it down. I think he even admitted he did but I'd have to look it up. I don't blame him though. By then, Benn was a spent force.Comment

No you wouldn't have because back then, you weren't thinking about Calzaghe. The muthaphukka going life and death with David Starie.
Calzaghe was a paper champ not even considered the best in his division. An unknown until about 2002. And no, it wouldn't have been better then the fights Jones had because back then, NOBODY thought Calzaghe was better than Lou Del Valle, for instance. Can't use hindsight here, my friend.Comment

The idea that Jones should've fought McClellan is laughable. It's just one of those things people throw out not really looking at what was going on. When was he gonna fight him at 160? Or after the Benn fight? Like, come on.Comment

1. Calzaghe, we've already pointed out how that is completely off-base.
Now we move to Rochigianni who umm, Roy signed to fight only to have Rochigianni no-show at the first presser and disappear for weeks before pulling out and admitting an alcohol problem. Do you have any dispute with that or should we go on to the next name?Comment
