historically the wars at FW have been that of attrition
these guys were damaging each other like HW's
huge punches were landed and the flow of the fight was changed many times with eye catching sorts of moments

Name the featherweight fights you consider more exciting...
I saw all but the first three Hamed fights and watching that bout again it's very noticeable that he was making the kinds of mistakes he seldom did as a younger fighter.
I accept that it's a step up in opposition and he must have been anxious to appear credible to US broadcasters and fans. But it's all very amateurish in comparison to the ruthless and clinical performance he delivered to demolish Steve Robinson in Cardiff.
It's such a pity that he was seduced by fame and fortune. Had he took the sport as seriously as ... say ... Barrera or Hopkins he could have written his own script.

Just off the top of my head, Marquez-Pacquiao I is leagues ahead of Hamed-Kelly. Knockdowns are exciting, sure, but that had prolonged and high-level action throughout.
