How big of a chance do you give Monzon against Bob Foster?

Just one ittie-bittie mistake & he could end up like Mike Quarry.

Right before I hit the "Submit reply" button, I thought of something else.....

Who did Monzon ever fight that had a killer punch? This is in no way a knock on Monzon's legacy, but I think the biggest pure puncher he ever fought was Gratien Tonna. Valdez, Napoles, Griffith, etc were not guys who could get you outta there with one shot.

I'd venture to say that Foster could hit as hard as any 175lber in history. I just can't see Monzon, who really never faced a murderous hitter, finishing the fight.

I can't either to be honest. Going from 160 to 175 in one fight is a big jump. Especially when fighting an opponent like Bob Foster. By today's standards it would be considered moving up two divisions. Monzon would get hit a lot by Foster and as a result he would not finish the fight in my opinion.
