No, like I told you, I'm a boxing fan and you are a fanboy. Even the one person here who you thought was your ally knows now that you are a buffoon. Just tell me why Phillips would ever refuse the biggest payday in his career? I'll await your next diversion since reality is something that you seem to have trouble dealing with, fanboy.

Oh, I'm heartbroken! Not. I won't even bother discussing this further with a self-righteous, stubborn guy like you. Walt already gave you the reason why it didn't happen yet you keep stabbing at poor Kostya.

lets not pick sides on whose side people are on....this isn't WWIII

i merely stated what was going down at the time and its not that kostya didn't want any or was scared of the rematch. there were other circumstances going down

zoo didn't go hunting for the rematch, but he was willing to fight vince, he definitely didn't hide from him.

if vince didn't lose to sharmba the fight woulda happened.

Fak, its an INSULT just to suggest that Kostya was SCARED of Phillips! Had it been someone else, like Floyd or a prime Chavez...but he wanted to fight Floyd and we already know what he did to a not-prime Chavez.

Two years back, I read one of Tszyu's books ("From Russia, With Gloves") & it was interesting. He couldn't heap enough praise on Hatton, or go to any greater lengths to dispell any potential excuses (injury lay-offs, Hatton's tactics & hometown refereeing, the early time start), but a few chapters back, he makes every excuse in the book for the loss to Phillips. Court cases, training camp distractions, under-estimating his opponent...fighters are emotional & complex beasts, & they deal with defeat in emotional & complex ways. Make of it what you will, but for whatever reason, he just appears entirely unaccepting of the loss to Phillips, while acknowledging that Hatton was just flat too good for him.

tszyu was always passive after the phillips fight and not the same fighter after the phillips fight. the only times i can see the tszyu of old come back was when he showed up against mitchell 2,

tszyu used to be a killer and fought many tough fighters early in his career, he should have never lost to phillips, but he gassed out, thats why he lost,

phillips from what i remember went up in weight and fought quartey and got destroyed, but i don't recall if he had already lost the belt won from tszyu,

after the phillips fight, tzyus new boxing style was a bit boring, he and barrera had identical paths in this way that after they lost both became boxers where they used to be killers in the ring looking for blood and a tough fight with anyone willing to go toe to toe

tszyus fight with hector lopez is a forgotten war that many forget, very even fight, i wish tszyu would have stuck around, but am not sure he was every the same mentally after the phillips fight though i seen flashs of his greatness again against mitchell
